These boots were purchased for our very cold -50 winters. I expected that for the cost of $100 for a pair of boots my child will only fit for one season that they would be wearable. The liners in these boots need to be held very tightly while your child slides their foot and and then within 15 minutes of wear, the liners are crunched into a ball at the bottom of the boot making them completely useless as a winter boot. I will be looking at other brands in the future.

These are very well made boots but they are absolutely miserable to get on. My 5 year old can’t do it by himself… I am not much help with it either. The upper has no rigidity and the liner just wants to slide down no matter how tight you hold it. They are warm and well built. But I have to get him something more functional for school due to this difficulty getting them on.

Very good construction but the liners are very hard to keep from slipping down when putting on. A finger tab would be helpful.

This boot is had a terrible design. You can not get your child’s foot around the horn. It is too snug with the liners to get past the shaft. After many many tries we could not get our child’s foot into the boot. We will stick to Sorrels easy design. Hard pass on this boot.

My wife bought the boots for our 4yo but I am the one who takes him to kindergarten and to put these boots on is an ordeal. The boot is too tight and inner part keeps on slipping down. The boy already hates them and does not to wear it. Pretty expensive thing to be worn few times.

Do not read the terrible reviews about the liner. There is a simple fix for this flaw. Take the liner out, put the childs foot in the liner, and then slip the boot on. Very easy. These are by far the warmest boots for children I have found yet! We live in Alaska where the winter conditions get super cold, and I do not have to worry about my sons feet in these boots.

Loved the idea of these for my 3 year old, but the lining was too tricky for him to slip his foot into unassisted – he got frustrated quickly and moved on. Will return for a different pair. Too bad because they seem rugged and warm!
