Mark J –
I had to give these boots a few months of wear and tear before writing a review. The Braddock is the most comfortable safety shoe I’ve worn in over 15 years. Just put them through a snow and ice test this week ( yes we have snow already). Traction is great and they kept my feet warm after a couple hours. Not overly hot in summer weather either. The laces stay tied all day. All around 5 stars for these Keens! Sent back 2 pair of defective Rainiers before spotting these boots.
Jeff B –
Wearing these boots is like having a comfortable exo-skeleton on my feet. Not only excellent steel toe but the Achilles heel support is fantastic. Also, when you hook the laces through the top eyelets, the laces “clip in” so you don’t lose tension when lacing/tying. Nice touch!
Jeff B –
Update to previous review…and it only gets better. Amazed at the support from these boots. I’d mentioned how Keen really paid attention to the top eyelets and how the lace “clips into the top hooks”…which is great because once you hook the lace, the hook maintains the tension on the lace My update primarily addresses the ease of getting these boots on and off. Pull the laces around the top hooks and you’re in the boot firmly. I also love that when you want to take the boot off, because of the height and the one row of hooks, it really is a simple process to get out of them. A very refreshing feature unlike the last pair of Timberlands I owed (which was like wearing a straight jacket on my ankles). Will definitely buy these again. Great quality. Strong steel toe cap and rear heel protection.

This is an extremely well made heavy duty boot. It has very good cushioning on the outer sole. The only problem is that this boot runs 1 size too small. Other than that they are perfect.
Ralph –
I purchased these boots for work. I currently have a pair of Timberland steel toes boots but that cause pain in my left bug toe, I think due to the toe area of the boot being too narrow. So I ordered these Keens being as though I own and have owned several pairs of Keens and they feature a wide toe well area. These boots are very handsome and stylish. As soon as I put one on I realized they were approximately a half size too short. This surprised me because all of the Keen shoes I own and have owned fit true to size or perhaps a tad larger. I’m returning these boots today and looking for another pair of steel toes for work.
Devi –
My husband bought these for work. He’s had 4 different pairs of Keen boots, and these are by far, the most comfortable. They’re not clunky when driving, comftable to walk in, spend 9 – 10 hours a day in.

I have had these boots now for 2 years and I love them. the anatomical steel toes are fantastic, no rubbing on my big toe like generic steel toes. I read the reviews about them being a little small in length, I wear 9 1/2 M so I ordered a 1/2 size larger and that seemed to work for me. I work overseas in hot climates so I wear thin socks. If you prefer wearing thick socks I’d order a full size larger.
I also like the lacing system, quick and easy.

Well, I loved these boots. Love my sandals. Love my casual Keens. These work boots, however should be called part-timers. As a UPS driver on a commercial route, I work my boots. The strings broke in three months. The leather is pulling away from the rubber on both shoes on the outside of the foot. The eyelets are fabric and are about to tear on multiple eyelets. Keen, don’t call them work boots until you have worked them.

My husband loves these Keen Utility Boots! They last a long time and wear very well. This is his third pair of Keens. Thanks, Zappos for shipping so quickly and keeping us supplied!
Dover –
These are steel toe boots, which I didn’t want but didn’t notice before ordering 2 pairs, 14 wide and 15 wide. The 14 was narrower than other Keens I’ve had. The 15 was plenty big, probably not too big, but I returned them both.
They seem like good rugged, medium-weight, comfy boots if you get the right size and need steel toes.

Heavy duty and sturdy. Very good materials and padding. Definitely 1/2 size small.

The difference between the boots Keen makes in America and the ones made in China is very tangible. I have made the mistake several times of not spending the extra $40 to get the American made model and regretted it every time. The are definitely worth the money. They come out of the box feeling like they are already broken in for your foot. The comfort and quality is excellent.

I’ve been using these boots for several years, but in the last year or so it seems they moved their manufacturing to China. I had to return these boots because:
1. The exact same boot and size as last time had changed its design. The join from the boot to the rubber toe had changed and now encroaches on the tip of your foot where the toes start; a very uncomfortable result.
2. The stitching inside the heel of the boot has moved so now the boot lining has a large seam that runs vertically in exactly the same spot as your ankle bone. My prior boots had no such seam.
I would caution both new buyers and repeats buyers to seriously look at other alternatives than Keen. OR, if you still want to use Keen (and I really liked their products) then be prepared to return the boots if they do not fit as expected.

These are the only shoes that my husband likes to wear, for work and for play! Good quality, nice style.

Exactly what I wanted
On –
Boots were comfortable right out of the box boots run a size small from your normal size
Eric –
I like Keen brand shoes. I like American made products, in fact I will happily pay more for them. But these American made Keens are not made well. The seams inside the shoe on the foot bed are pronounced ridges and there is a bump under the toe.

I love the look and feel of this shoe but, I work very hard and rubber wears very fast off the bottom of shoes and have not lasted more then 8 months. I’ve bought this same pair 2 times and 1st lasted 8 months and 2nd lasted 6 months. There was a time when keens would last years! It’s such a great shoe but doesn’t last to long.

These fit more like my original Detroit’s, which is exactly what I was looking for. I got 2 years out of those hope these last as long!
Tim –
At first the feel of the boot felt fine but after wearing them for a while I started noticing my right ankle began hurting. On further inspection I noticed there was a seam that protruded out and was rubbing. I have taken this boot twice to a cobbler to hammer out this seam and it is still there. The shoe repair guy said he felt this was a manufacturing defect and he couldn’t do anything else for it. I’m sad because I’ve always had good luck with Keens but I think I may try a different brand in the future.

Fit was good, style was good. Durability and longevity were disappointing and Keen’s willingness to stand behind their USA made product was very disappointing. The glue around the sides let go and the soles cracked and the laces shredded. All within 6 months. Called Keen, sorry, we don’t warranty our shoes for these types of defects. These are supposed to be durable work boots. They weigh a ton! Steel toes to boot! They should last longer than 6 months. And a USA made product should have a better warranty.

My husband loved these boots but they are a full size to small for his “always a size 12”. Sending them back and already ordered the size 13. The workstyle and overall appearance is very good.

Nice boot just wasn’t what I wanted
Logan –
The best brand of workboots out there, comfortable, and very durable. I have had no other boot to come close.
