Shoes are great until they delaminate in a short period of time. If not for warranty, you would be spending way too much

I have had a pair of these before. I like them alot . A bit heavy but they are sturdy work boots. protect feet well and are ver supportive.
I was pumped to have them arrive with the winter weather coming soon.

Furious at Keen for “updating” this boot!! I was a devotee of the previous version, having purchased at least 10 pair in the last five years. This version is heavier, narrower in the upper and has a wider sole. I wore them for a week in denial of the pain in my feet, ankles, legs and hips –thought I could break them in.
Thanks to Zappos being awesome, I was able to return them even with a week of miles.

I have had 2 pairs of Keen Detroit Utility boots before and loved them! Not stylish, but excellent for all day comfort. I was shocked at the weight of the redesigned Detroit boot. I weighed them, size 12M came in at 800 grams apiece. One of my older version came in at 640 grams. Wearing them felt leaden. As they were scuffed and dirty from the previous returnee, I returned them also.

They Seemed like a pretty good hiking / work shoe but they were not wide enough for me. I’m 3-E and even their wide is not wide enough.

Got a pair of the Keen Detroit’s about a month ago and liked them so much I ordered the same shoes in the other color!! Tried em on, perfect fit, next morning put them on for a full day of work, a good 12 hours. Been wearing Keens for years and I think they are some of the best there are. Good fit, wear well, and comfort all day! Outstanding service as usual from Zappo’s. Thanks again!!

I work in a machine shop with steel chips/shavings on the concrete floor with wet conditions here and there. These boots are not affected by either condition. Very comfortable, even after five 12 hour shifts per week. I wear them for snow removal as well. 18 months of owning these and still going. I’m only looking into new boots because these will now retire to just yard work and weekend use. Highly recommended.

My wife got me started wearing Keen’s about 4-5 years ago. I had worn NB for the previous 10+ years but their product quality had become less than acceptable. This is my 6th Detroit boot and I could not be more pleased. I have two pair and wear one of them everyother day. I do have to buy one size larger and wider. As far as Zappo’s is concerned – they are the model of what all on-line businesses should strive to follow. Simply the BEST!

Fit my feet and were comfortable to walk in right out of the box! How great is that? The laces are super long. But they stayed tied very well although I *did* have to tie them in 3 bows. lol

Did not survive the Amazon workload, lasted about 5 months before the bottom wore flat and holes became large enough for dew from grass to soak my socks. Laces are very tight on the tops of the feet and there is no ankle support. They had been slip hazards since the second month and I sprained my ankle on the job stepping in a hole I’ve stepped in before with other shoes.

Fit was just right. I bought the same Keen model 10 yrs. ago. Foot got larger, experience was so good with first pair so I stayed with same model and brand. Zappos delivered as promised both times.

Overall, the fit is good. However, after wearing them for 8 hours the fit gets a little tight, and my left small toe becomes sore.
