WELL, MADE JUST DOESN’T FIT RIGHT, RUBS MY ANKLE BONE.
Jade P –
I bought these off of a recommendation from a coworker. So comfortable, even without another insole! My blisters I got from my other boots went away, and bc of the composite toe all my ankle pain is gone (bc my old boots were too heavy). Seriously the best purchase Ive ever made

Good! Have worn around the house, not yet on a jobsite. Half size up from my usual keens (which are many. )

They are very comfortable and they were a breeze to break in. I like the way the absorb the shock and feel good on my feet. Thanks again fir a superior product.

This pair of boot had made a huge difference in my comfort, I work in a warehouse and work yard, so I’m on my feet all day 5 days a week, the padding makes all the difference, the fact that I can b get off work and still want to wear these will doing my house work is major for me, I have fallen for keen for all the right reasons!

When I placed my order for this pair of KEEN Utility Evanston 6″ Composite Toe Waterproof boots, there were no reviews on them yet. I took a chance based on my experience with other KEEN footware, and I’m glad I did! I ordered my regular size (8 Medium), and when I first put them on I had a brief moment of “uh-oh – are these gonna be too small?” – but – NOPE! They’re perfect! They did require a bit of ‘break-in’ wear to become completely comfortable for me – I had a pressure spot across my inner left ankle, but I just tucked some extra padding in between my ankle & the boot, and trusted that after some wear time I wouldn’t need to do this anymore – and that has proved true. I wear a heavier sock in my work shoes year ’round, and I tuck my custom arch supports into any shoes that I wear. I do all of that with these boots, and it’s goin’ GREAT! I would definitely order these boots again without hesitation – I love them!

They rub my ankles so much that Im limping by the end of the day, and they just fit really weird in general. The soles arent contoured to my feet at all; for instance, theres a bump where the balls of my feet are. They also fit strangely where the tops of my feet meet my ankles, so theres ankle and calf strain in addition to the rubbing and bruising. Not cushy at all, either. Im really disappointed in these, but Ive already worn them out in the field so I cant return them.

I bought and use a different insole, and ankle guards, so my review is based on the altered comfort.
I have bony feet, they are also narrow and thin. This caused there to be pressure points on my ankles no matter how I laced them so I purchased ankle guards in order to be able to wear them for 12 hours at a time comfortably.
The toe tox is roomy allowing the toes to spread naturally which is good. Some reviews complain about the heel being too narrow but it isn’t the case for my particular feet.
My feet do hurt at the end of my 10 hour shift, but I’m walking 20 thousand steps or more. I am planning on trying the factory inserts and the ones I bought to see if the extra paddings helps that issue.

I originally purchased a pair of these (men’s) for my dad, and he loved the fit. For work boots, these are extremely comfortable, wide enough in the toes (medium for me) without feeling too large and narrow enough in the heel to not feel sloppy. Mine do rub a bit from time to time on my one ankle, as some other reviewers have mentioned. I find that lacing them a little differently alleviates the issue. Inner soles are pretty comfy, too, so no new insoles were needed.
As a note to KEEN–this is also the only real work boot/shoe offering for women in size 12. Kind of sad.

These boots are holding up and are therefore made tough because I destroy boots like you wouldnt believe. But they are truly the most uncomfortable pair of Keens Ive ever owned. At first they rubbed my ankle, thankfully that is no longer happening. Now they just make my entire foot hurt inside outside and underneath. I cant exactly explain war the heck is wrong with them but they just dont seem to be made to wear all day.

I had a pair of Keen work boots for years but they wore out so I needed a new pair. These come up a lot higher on my ankle so they offer better protection but are also much stiffer and bind around the ankle a bit at first. I wouldn’t plan to wear them to work right out of the box. I wore them around the house for about a week before I wore them out into the field. Once they softened up they were good. The soles and overall toe protection and construction seem better than my previous pair also.

You may want to order a half size up. Party of the discomfort was due to not enough toe room however every employee I spoke to said their shoes hurt when they first got them.

These fit my foot perfectly. I have a wide toe, I used to wear 9s but I think I’ve worked my way up to 9 1/2s and these give enough room for thick socks but I can also tighten the laces with my thin socks. So far they’re pretty waterproof, I’ve warn them in a full day of rain and was dry on in the inside.
I previously had the women’s DOVER 6″ Carbon Fiber toe. Those had a lot more cushion but took some time to break in. I haven’t had any break in period for the Evanston, they were just good to go for me.

I ordered these for work and was sent two different sized boots. This is the second pair I ordered that I now need to return because of how they fit. If I didn’t have to use this site because of my employer, I would not be ordering boots from this company. As someone who is required to wear safety boots for work, there are very few options to choose from and nothing fits the way it is described.

Comfy, warm, lots of room. They don’t make my feet sweat either. Great price for the Keen quality and composite protected toe!
