Shoe is too stiff and not comfortable, heavier than I like.

Got these for hiking and they’re great. Sole is rugged and pretty stiff so excellent on rocky trails, great traction on wet rocks and roots as well as dry surfaces, but sole doesn’t pick up a lot of debris, toe protection also rugged. Fit for me was perfect because they come in wide widths, wide toe box ??, they also accommodate my high instep. I wore these on the trail right out of the box, no need to break in, super happy with these.

For a hiking shoe, I guess the shoe doesn’t have to be that attractive. And its not. The front of the shoe was comfortable, the arch area of the shoe was comfortable. But the heel area…too wide. My heel was coming out of it when I walked across the room, no matter how tightly I laced them. For this style, Keen must think…. if you have a wider front of the foot, you must also have a thicker ankle area. So, if you’re looking to buy this shoe and you don’t also have a thick ankle, its a no go.

I wanted to replace my Keen hiking shoes and tried these, not knowing what a “work shoe” was (item description wasn’t clear on that, not on Keen’s site either). Turns out that the sole is super stiff. Great for factory floors, but not so much for hiking trails with pitch- returning. LOVED the fit/toebox shape of the wide width though….! Wishing for more wide Keen COLORFUL hiking shoes (instead of everything grey, dark grey, and brown).

Bought these shoes to wear at work in a veterinary clinic. So far loving them – great arch support and my feet are holding up well after 12 hour plus days. Soles are truly nonslip – the floors at work can get slippery when wet and no issues walking on wet floors. The grey color matches my scrub pants well and seem like they won’t show stains/dirt easily.

I love these shoes!!

This was my first pair of Keen footwear and I am NOT disappointed. They are a true fit in size and width. Incredibly comfortable and has really helped my with foot/ankle pain and is helping to restore normal walking for me.

I needed more arch support so I went with another shoe but this one was a close contender. Cute and fit well and I’m so grateful they have wide!

They are very comfortable. I’ve worn them for 2 days working 5 hours a day on a cement warehouse floor. There is not as much cushioning as I’d hoped but too much would cause balance issues for me. I switched out the basic insoles that came with them and put in the orthotics that I keep on hand for work. There was a little pinky toe rubbing last night but they are not a problem right now. If it develops into a problem I’ll revise my review. It might have been the socks I was wearing.

The fit was wonderful! I have a wide foot and order a wide, I normally have some rubbing even with other wide shoes but not this one. I have been wearing them for a week and put in my orthopedic arch support under the shoe support and they feel great! I am thinking of getting the same brand with a high top for ankle support for more challenging hikes.

I have had problems with my feet since about 2015, and in 2016 began wearing Rx orthotics. That has changed my show shopping habits forever. I have had so much trouble finding a shoe for walking/hiking and NONE of the athletic shoes including Saucony, Brooks, Hoka, you name it I have tried it. I had a pair of Merrells for awhile that was a walking shoe, but they changed to style to a work shoe that was then too heavy and bulky for me to wear. THESE Keens are a work shoe, but have been GREAT. When they wear down, and that could be soon because I wear out the support pretty fast in ANY shoe, and have my orthotics adjusted by my podiatrist about every 2 months, I will be purchasing another pair. Great for walking and hiking even though it’s a work shoe! Please keep this model in your line!!

Love the color and size. They are definitely slip and oil resistant which makes for a tough sole and a shoe that will last you for a while.

I love Keen’s. For some reason these seemed pretty heavy compared to my Keen Targhee II, which I was wanting to replicate.
Barb –
I love these shoes but just not light weight enough to wear 10 hour workdays for me.

I thought I had found a replacement for my old Keens (two pairs of the same model which I forget). The ones that I hiked in, festivaled in, walked the dog in, went to the store in… These may have been perfect bc when I felt the heel slip (kinda narrow heel) i thought no biggie I can tighten them with the strap that runs along the back and pulls the heel closer when you tie your shoes. AWESOME feature also depending on what kind of socks you wear. DENIED. It looks like you can do that in the pictures but the strap is sewn so ya can’t. Back they go.

I love Keens for their width and toe box room, but I was still not quite getting the width I needed and ended up with squeezed burning nerves after a day in my shoes. I accidentally ran across the Keen UTILITY line and they come in wides! Not only are they wide enough for me, when I replace the insoles with my orthotics the soles still have lots of cushion, which is usually concentrated in the insoles and dissappears when they are removed. So, width is good, cushioning great, the shoe is not hot and the laces even stay tied all day. I wore these every day for 12 days on a travel trailer trip and walking around Steens Mountain and Eastern Oregon, and kept telling my husband at the end of each day that my feet don’t hurt or bother me. I was thrilled.

KEENly Disappointed
These shoes are so far from what KEEN is known for that it makes me shake my head and wonder what’s going on?
Very narrow front foot area, there is no classic triangle going on here. These are very stiff and rigid shoes.
I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody. But one thing it is forcing me do, is to look at other brands like Brooks and Vionics … So who knows, one day I may have something to thank the folks at KEEN for, but they had such an exceptional product that I can’t seem to find anymore … and I think I’d better stop trying.

These are great shoes, has more oomph than a pair of sneakers. They’re my winter everyday shoes, keeps my feet cozy and warm.

They’re European sizing. So with that being said, they’re a roomier toe box & width. They are a utility shoe. I work in a sandy beach bar. Zero sand gets in my shoes! They’re slip resistant soles are wonderful in the restaurant kitchen! I did get a blister on my heel breaking them in, but I want to keep them. I do wish they offered brighter colors.

Nice shoes. Comfy right out of the box. I bought them for a trip to Sedona, AZ for walking around in. I don’t feel like they will need any break in time before my trip 🙂

great

Super comfortable and lightweight. Held up good on some muddy and wet days as Amazon driver, highly recommend. Plus when you bump your toes it’s fine, not quite steel toe but still sturdy. 10/10

Amazing shoe!!!!!! Used them as an Amazon delivery driver. They held up great for a year and probably got half a year left. Not the best life span but comfort beats all. I do A LOT of walking with delivering and my feet never hurt once in these shoes. Didn’t have to break them in when I first got them. I did take them hiking once and my feet did hurt while hiking so that was weird but for work, not one bit. Personally I don’t think they’re too bulky or heavy. My daily personal shoes are Nike Air Max’s so I may be biased with bulkiness. Overall great comfortable shoe, okay lifespan, not too bulky or heavy, also very slip resistant.
