Mark M –
I wear a size 10 in Keen hiking shoes, but had to return the size 10 boot and order a 10 1/2 as my toes were up against the inside of the boot. This boot is well-made and I love that it is made in the USA. Because the upper is made from thick, high-quality leather, it is pretty stiff but I’m sure it will be fine once it is broken in.

I purchased the liberty in the size that I typically wear. The boot was too small. I did take the online advice for the La Jose boot being sized big though which turned out to fit correctly.
Clint –
Very comfortable out of the box. Nice insoles, very good cushion. Lightweight compared to the Cincinnatis.
Joe –
They run small, ordered my normal size and they were too small. Would be nice to be able to just exchange them vs having to return them and wait for the refund and then reorder another pair in the larger size.
Timothy H –
Ordered wide and they felt narrow, a little snug at my normal size. The quality was there. Should have tried them on in person to check fit instead of ordering online.
Scott T –
Not much break in time. So far so good. If they hold up they will replace my thorogoods
Gilberto M –
Boot is nice and comfortable but expensive. Toe box is tight had to remove insole and replace with insole that only reach to the ball of the feet
James K –
Seriously best boots ever and very comfortable right out of the box no break in period. Another great feature is they are actually made in the USA! Wish more of the Keen products were made here.

Love the boot but only complaint is nowhere in the description on website is there mention of a wide toe. However, right on the side of the box when you open them it states wide toe like its a positive marketing message. The snug feel of the San Jose is what I loved, not sure if I will feel the same about these.

I took it in consideration about going up a half size after viewing the reviews. Im glad I did! It took some time to break them in after a I oiled them a few times. Thank you Keen!

Take the advice of other reviewers and order 1/2 size up, they run small. I have a pair of Keen San Jose aluminum toe waterproof boots and wear size 11 (which provides enough room for toes, even with wool socks). I ordered these in size 11 and my toes were touching the end of the boots when I stood up. I’m disappointed because in other reviews Keen has commented saying they “fixed” the sizing issue. I even asked the question on the Q&A section of this page whether to size up or not and Keen responded to order normal size. If I were you I would wait a while until the sizing is figured out by Keen, or begin by ordering 1/2 a size up.
Other than sizing, the boots look great and leather seemed high quality. Good looking pair of boots. I’m just frustrated I spent time researching sizing, asking Keen a question, and I’m still stuck having to return and reorder a different size.

Great American made boot

I have had many Keen work boots over the years and these are my favorite. I had been buying the San Jose the past couple of years but the quality and longevity are subpar. I was looking for a quality American made wedge sole work boot and these are great. I did switch the insoles for the Keen K-30 for more stability. At first the boots felt very warm and my feet sweat even with merino wool socks so I decided to clean them with Leather Honey cleaner and now they are more breathable and more comfortable. Now time will tell if Keen has a winner here.

These boots are great. Ive been wearing red wings for the last 7-8 years straight and this is the first time Ive tried something new. Impressed with how light weight these are even with the safety toe. Very comfortable. Just enough room in all the right places. Toe box is bigger than what Im used to, but after wearing them now for a few weeks I wouldnt go back to red wings. This is what a work boot should be. Cant wait to buy these again next time I need boots. I plan on buying these for the rest of my career. Worth the price tag.

My right boot toe box is sewn smaller than the left. The tongue of the right boot is sewn crooked and keeps sliding to the inside of the boot and rubbing on my foot.
Zach –
I have very wide feet and this is my first pair of Moc Toes. I’ve tried on Thorogoods and the Keen Cincinnati and neither one was as wide as this. This is easily the most comfortable boot I’ve owned. I work on concrete all day so this boot is a good fit for me. The only gripe I have is that there is no Goodyear welt. For a pair of almost $300 boots, they should really be able to be resoled. Hoping Keen mentions something about this directly.

At first they were a little tight, but then after wearing them for a week, they fit perfect.
JACK C –
Cant say enough about keen footwear.
They are in my opinion the most comfortable boots Ive worn. Keep my feet dry and hold up very well in heavy work conditions.
Aaron H –
Boots seem to be ok but sized too small. I tried to exchange them but now sold out of any bigger sizes.
Jonathan J –
I bought these for work. I was mainly interested in the wider toe box, given how much time I spend on my feet. As it turns out, these are my most comfortable shoes now and I wear them as often as possible.
Note that I was a little concerned about the size of the boots when I first put them on as my toes were just grazing the inside of toe of the boot. The concern quickly went away as the boots wore in, which didn’t take long.
