These are the best boots Ive ever worn. Theyre incredibly comfortable and durable. As an automotive mechanic working 40-50 hours a week, I bought these boots in 2021. Now, on August 1, 2024, Im just getting a new pair. Why? Because the inside of the toe box area is starting to come apart. If they were new, this would be a problem, but after nearly four years, it’s impressive!
Ive replaced the insoles once a year with what Keen sells, and each time, the boots felt like new again. I just purchased the carbon fiber 6-inch Independence boots and have high hopes for them!

Love these boots. Comfortable, light (for size) and very tough. I am tough on my boots. Long time Timberland Pro wearer. Switched on recommendation of a salesmen. Keen are more comfortable and so far, much more durable. Fantastic toe and forefoot protection. This is my second pair of Keen’s. Would still be wearing the others if I hadn’t cut them open with an axe. Of note, I had to drop a half size from my last pair (Keen Pittsburgh).

I work as a carpenter doing residential remodeling. When looking for a new pair of work boots I went to the local store and tried on boots from all the major brands. When I tried on these Keens they were by far the most comfortable. They feel very tough and durable yet have a tennis shoe type feel on the foot. When I brought them to work I loved them. They are incredibly comfortable, and had hardly any break in period to speak of. With that being said, I was very disappointed to notice that after only two weeks of everyday use, the Black ankle padding (around the achilles part of the ankle) is tearing away from the leather above the heel. I am not looking forward to the task of finding another boot that fits as well as these.

These are very comfortable work boots right out of the box. I wasn’t able to wear them much around town before going to my jobsite, so I was worried that my feet would pay the price. Amazingly, these boots broke in almost immediately and didn’t cause any hot spots on my feet. The leather is very supple. The collar is soft and flexes with your ankle. The toe box is nice and roomy, and the steel toes didn’t rub on my foot at all. In the heel, there is a patch of what feels like moleskin. This really does a good job of holding your heel down and preventing slippage and blisters. Overall, a great boot so far after one week of use.
If I had one negative comment, it would be that the boot seems a little wider than marked. I ordered the medium width boot and I have pretty wide feet. Even so, I have to crank the laces down pretty tight to get a snug fit. I’m a little concerned that I may have trouble getting the boots to stay snug if the leather stretches over time.
Bottom line: A very comfortable boot right out of the box; width/fit over time may become an issue.

This boot is built like a tank, and is a bit heavy. That said, it is the most comfortable boot, straight out of the box, that I have ever worn.
I am on my feet all day all and I am particular about my boots. These have a very comfortable footbed, and are true to size. I wear a 13, and these boots fit like a glove. I wore them from sun up to sun down on the first day, without issue.
There is plenty of room in the toe, and the arch support is better than most work boots.
I would recommend these boots without hesitation.

These are decent boots. The soles have great all-around traction. The leather is nice and fairly thick. I love the rubber toe cap which is integrated into the sole. There is lots of toe room so no cramped feet here, even in the regular width size. They are a little stiff at first. Hey, they are work boots, you should expect that.

My husband will no write a review but I asked him what he thought of his new work boots, he said “these are great for work, they fit right out of the box, very comfortable, can even use a heavier sock if I need to, not that heavy either when walking up 24 steps to get to the top of a silo and the weight didn’t bother me at all” I think he is very pleased with these new boots. Happy husband!

I have been a big fan of Keen for the last six year and gone through a few of their work boots. I wanted to get something durable but lighter for work and hiking. The reviews all recommended going up a half size but I had to return and go up a full size. The width was fine, EE. Hope this helps.

My husband is a stonemason and damn tough on boots. Every two years he buys these boots and destroys them. They fit the best of any boot he’s ever owned and the steel toe has saved his toes on more than one occasion! Highly recommend.

Great boots. Very comfortable, cured my plantar fasciitis. They do tend to become less than waterproof after a while. It happens right at the sewing where the plastic meets the leather at the toe. You have to treat these boots with waterproofing after a few months of use.
