Not a bad shoe and fit well except the back of the shoe is too shallow and my heel kept slipping out. The sole is very stiff.
Cindy –
Excellent customer service. I needed a 1/2 size larger. They shipped one out before they received my return. Shoe has great slip resistance as well as support and comfort.

I really wanted to like these shoes but the back of the shoe is too shallow, as mentioned by another reviewer, and is very uncomfortable on my heels. Otherwise, the fit is very good, the heel height is comfortable, the leather is nice, although a little stiff at first, the style is okay for a utilitarian shoe.

I have another pair of Keens, so I’m familiar with the quality of the materials and the fit. I have wide feet, so opted to purchase a pair one full size bigger than normal since Zappos didn’t carry wides (or maybe it was wides in my size). That didn’t quite work for me. From the beginning of my shift to end over the last month, it’s like walking on clouds. My feet are cushioned below, on the sides and on top. None of the rigidness of stiff shoes, yet the materials are so sturdy, I know my feet are protected. Plus, they clean-off easily. Great investment; just invest time to get the right size and width.

Nice looking shoe, normally wear a size 9.5, so runs a little small as I went up to a 10. Very comfortable, I have foot problems so it was a good shoe to buy. The slip resistant is great, insole pretty good. As usual Zappos shipping was excellent!

I am a 52 year old diner waitress working 48 hours a week in a busy diner. These shoes are by far the most comfortable I have ever owned! From the day I got them they have “fixed” all of my feet issues. They needed no break-in period. After a nine hour day at work I come home and keep them on! Totally awesome! After 6 months of use I still love them and I am ordering a new pair. These are the best work shoes ever!

I love these shoes – they look just like the picture. I do not think that they are really worth the price, but I do not have that many options in my size. They do run half a size small like the other reviews indicate – order half a size up like you would do for running shoes. For me, the smaller sizing is a good thing because my foot is a size 4½, and that is extremely hard to find in the slip resistant styles. The size 5 fits me perfectly. The slip resistance is excellent. My only complaint is that they do not have enough shock absorption as I would like, given that I walk on concrete all day. But the insoles are removable, so I will get my usual ProFoot 2-ounce miracle memory foam insoles.

My work requires a slip resistant sole which lead me to this shoe. It is very well made with a lot of spring in the heel which is a little higher than it looks. I wish it had more cushion for the balls of my feet. The back of the shoe is a little lower than most but is okay. I usually buy a 8 1/2 but ordered a 9 and it fits. This shoe is made in China.

Horrible shoe!! I have always loved Keens, but this shoe is completely uncomfortable. I have had them for a whole year, and have hated them since I first put them on. I am a nursing assistant and nursing student and I work 12 hour shifts. Half way through my shifts my feet are aching and by the end my socks are soaked. But I needed them for school.

Believe the reviews that this shoe runs smaller than normal. I own another pair of Keens that fit nicely, but this shoe is much narrower and smaller.

I just recently bought these shoes for my job as a server and I love them! The slip resistant bottom works wonders, I can walk through puddles in the kitchen with no worries. The first day after I wore them my feet were a bit sore, but after that first day they’ve been great! The back is a bit low and felt weird at first, but it didn’t end up impacting wearability. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a good slip resistant shoe!

I’m a HUGE fan of Keen shoes but I have to say I Am extremely disappointed in this style. I own five pairs that I love ranging from sandals to hiking shoes. Keen shoes typically are wide and have a great arch making them a perfect fit for my feet. I ordered these shoes because I work in a restaurant and needed slip resistant soles. I was delighted to see that Keen makes a style to fit my needs. Unfortunately they don’t feel like a Keen shoe. They are not wide and have minimal arch support. On top of that, the material is not breathable. Such a bummer and waste of money.

I do love Keen shoes and am on my feet all day. I was looking for something with good support, cushion, etc. After ordering and trying on 15 pairs of shoes, this one came in second. After wearing it around my house, I felt fatigue in the ball of my foot. I think there was too much difference in height from the ball to the heel to be comfortable for me. So sad. I really wanted these shoes to work! I went for the Asics Gel instead.

First of all, I love Zappos. The fact that I can order shoes on Sunday night and get them Wednesday, when I live in Northern Minnesota, is awesome. Now. Onto the shoes. The shoes are exactly what I was looking for – a super comfortable, slip resistant, black leather shoe. Done. They are so comfortable, with a stiff sole yet cushiony insert, good heel support, excellent room in the toe box for long hours on my feet. (I serve and bartend, both. So some nights I’m doing a ton of standing and others I’m running around.) I love these shoes!

I work in a hospital on a cement floor and my feet were really hurting . My doc. suggested Keen and Brook shoes . I ordered both from Zappos and the Keens fit and feel comfortable hopefully they will last!

These have the Keen name on them, but don’t feel like the Keen’s I love. Toe box too small and the arch support is just moderate versus excellent. They are going back 🙁

Fit well, the insole is a bit thin. The non skid sole is the best I’ve ever worn. Not the most attractive shoe but I don’t need style at my job, I need traction on a slippery floor.

I just ordered my 4rd pair of these. These shoes are perfect for my job in retail grocery. They tend to last me 1 to 1.5 years (and still are holding up just fine except I prefer my shoes to look newer). My only complaint is the sizing. I, literally, have to order 3 pair of the exact same size to get a pair that fits. The fit is not consistent, even when dealing with the same size. I have had to replace the insoles in one of my pair of shoes because the fabric started rolling up. *I don’t mind spending the extra money because these shoes last me twice as long as other shoes have lasted me.

Very strange fit! It’s as if the arch is in the wrong place. It puts a lot of pressure on my heel and front of the foot and the arch has less than no support- it’s hard on the foot. Tried two sizes and gave up. I’m very sad because they look good in concept.

As far as the fit, they are true to size. I’ve been wearing the Keen Presidio for the past 10 months and they had worn out. I work for USPS and walk an average of 5 miles a day. I out these on, they felt good, got to work and after 2 hours, my toes had gone completely asleep. When I took them off it was as though my arch was repositioned. I had to send them back and ordered the Presidio to replace them.

These felt a little narrower than any of my other shoes. It also felt like I was walking on a hardwood floor barefoot. Not enough cushion for me.
Karen –
At first the toe felt a little snug. But I started walking and after a long day of work they were fine. Very comfortable shoe. I am on my feet all day and do a lot of walking. I would buy again.

I liked the fit well enough, but the pair that arrived had a permanent indent in the top of the toe on one shoe. It smashed my toes & rubbed on them so I had to return them. Style wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but I would have kept them if it weren’t for the one smashed toe box.
Andrea –
Great shoe for working 12 hour shifts.

I like the shoes so much that I purchased a 2nd pair to have on hand in case something happens to the 1st pair.
These shoes were GREAT ON DAY ONE. Very little break in time needed. I experienced a mild pain/pressure on one of my baby toes (not all day just a little bit) but it went away after 1-2 wears as the leather molded to my foot. I have a pair of Keen hiking shoes that I love, so I felt confident in the brand. I felt these shoes would be a good choice based on the review a waitress gave. I’m glad I trusted her review. I wore them delivering packages in the rain and my feet were dry. They aren’t gorgeous shoes, but I don’t expect that in a work shoe. I do like the side profile look of the shoes and I love that they are leather AND all black. I’m on my feet working 9-11 hours a day and I feel I could wear them several more hours after work. For me, the fit is terrific. I wear a size 6 medium in most shoes and these fit well. Most importantly, the shoes don’t feel heavy, my feet don’t feel tired or hurt at the end of the day. I wear medium thickness wicking socks with these shoes for warmth and comfort. Sometimes I find myself resisting the urge to put these shoes on instead of my Brooks running shoes to go run errands or grocery shop on my days off because they’re so comfortable. (I love my Brooks running shoes, so that’s saying a lot about these shoes).
