Shoes lasted 6 months before the sides started blowing out. The insoles shredded into nothing. I like the shoe style and it’s very comfortable, but for the price I expected more.

Marvelously comfortable, stylish. I had an earlier version of this shoe–sorry, forgot the name and it is no longer manufactured. I tried several alternatives in an attempt to approximate the earlier shoe–thanks to Zappos’ wonderful (and cheerful!) return policy, I finally landed on this model. I love them. Best thing is I can wear them anywhere; around the neighborhood or in front of an audience at a conference (I am a professor). Comfort is tops, but they wear well (I live in NYC and walk miles each day); Look great even after several years. I am sold on Keens and sold on Zappos

Bought these for a nurse who has been very good to my family. He was thrilled and said they are kind of a status symbol among his co-workers. He said they’re a little higher than what he normally wears, but I also see that he wears them all the time. All I know is that I love and own many pairs of Keens, because I love the way they pay attention to the way my foot is actually shaped, instead of some unreal, pointy thing.

These shoes are excellent! They are true to size, have good arch support (especially important for me, since I have high arches), have excellent non-slip soles, and a stylish enough to wear with business casual attire. I purchased them primarily for a business trip to Europe and Asia, and they have worked out perfectly.

These shoes are great for the kitchen. I have been wearing them for a few months now and the best thing about them is I get to move around with ease. Many kitchen shoes are designed just for standing. That’s great, but I have to run up and down the stairs where I work to get in and out of the walk-ins. These shoes are great for walking and running as well as standing. They are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve owned. They took me 3 days to break them in, pinched my toes a little at first, but they’re great now. I recommend these shoes if you want something you can move around in as well as work in.

I love these shoes. They took a couple of days to break in but well worth it. I plan on buying these shoes again. Keen is very impressive I will know look for different Keen products.

The most comfortable kitchen shoes I’ve ever owned! I’ve been wearing plastic Birks (which are great on comfort but short on looks), and Sears DieHards, which have me almost crawling through the doorway after the end of a 16 hour day. The non-slip sole on the Keen clog is very effective and on par with the aforementioned brands – a problem I had when I tried cheaper brands like Deerstags. The dyed-through leather keeps the Keens looking good – not a scratch on them after a month in the kitchen – and the tops clean up easily. There are a few downsides, however. These shoes are hot and will give you stinky feet. The dye in the leather is staining my big toenail after wearing them on long, hard workdays. I also wish the soles didn’t collect so much debris/were easier to clean. Overall small prices to pay for the comfort of these shoes. The durability of the shoe is yet to be tested, but they seem to be holding up well. I’ve owned casual, non-work Keen shoes that lasted. Great package of comfort and style, I highly recommend.

I am a chef and stand on a hard tile floor for 10-18 hours a day. For the last 8 years I have been using the free Shoes-For-Crews (SFC) my company provides. Lately the quality has gone down and it was time to upgrade my footwear. I needed something waterproof, comfortable, durable, and lace free. Chefs know how crusty and gross your laces can get when you spill sauces on your shoes, etc. So this shoe seemed perfect. At twice the price of SFC, might be twice the longevity? I only wore them for a short while but here are a few points about the shoes. 1. Yes, they will make your socks black. 2. I wear thick, moisture wicking WigWam work socks and the shoes were still a half size too big. 3. Yes, I can tell your feet will sweat more than normal with these shoes. 4. It may have been very cold outside but I noticed they sounded more like dress shoes while walking, not very quiet, but not annoying either. 5. I noticed that the opening for your foot was not very big, took some effort to get them on but my heel kept sliding out. A bit worried what a half-size down will be like.

Great shoes if you are on your feet for 12 hours a day.
Highly recommended! If you are a nurse you will want these shoes!

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I had been hunting for a new pair of work shoes since my last pair fell part and had returned 3 different brands before finding these. It’s like wearing slippers behind the bar at work and I don’t have to worry about slipping. I am now looking to buy another style by Keen to wear casually. I just wish they were cheaper. But if they stand up to the wear and tear I will buy these again.

Purchased for use during at least 16 hour days spent standing on a tile kitchen floor. Even after 16-18 hours on my feet, my feet feel fine. Planning to buy more & have recommend them to other chefs.

After trying every shoe out there from Birkenstock to Dansko (which possibly caused a neuroma) to SFC’s, I’ve finally found a shoe which is both comfortable, slip-resistant and attractive. If I have one regret regarding these shoes, it is that I suffered so long wearing inferior footwear. If your job demands long hours on your feet, you know when your feet go, you’re a goner. Do yourself a favor. Buy these shoes ASAP!

I like this shoe a lot. My favorite Keens are those with footbeds/heels like the Chester clog, Sarasota as they have excellent arch support and give just a bit of height. These have a slightly higher heel, which I like, yet they are still super comfortable for walking. They are easy to clean. I walked through soggy lawns and muddy trails with these–no wet feet and no problem to clean as there are no laces. Kind of expensive but not unhappy with this purchase!

I am an operating room nurse and we do a lot of arthroscopy. Wet floors. Incredible traction, never slips. The first pair I bought of these, the protective toe began to peel off after a couple of months of everyday wear. Replaced gladly and willingly by Zappos. Shoe is comfy with good arch support. My feet are never tired or sore at the end of the day, and I spend a lot of time on my feet, have used many of these ‘soft clogs’ and the Keens are great. Will buy again as the styles morph and continue to improve features.

OK, before I start using this pair of shoes I had a terrible ankle pain so I give it a try and the pain goes a way I will use those shoes for now on I’m a chef and I have to be walking up to 16 hours a day so if you work in a kitchen just like me then you should try those Keens. The money you will pay for it is well worth it.

Most comfortable work shoe. I work 12 hour shifts as a nurse. Feet and legs don’t get tired in these shoes. Love ’em!

Great shoe! Bought it for my husband who was already a Keens lover but is starting nursing school. Was worried about width, but turns out he had no issues and loves them. Will buy again, when these wear out.

Follow up: One year Later. Shoe is still reasonably comfortable despite the fact that the insert has started to shred apart on the heel and one side of one shoe came unstitched. The shoe still dyes my toe black, although not as bad. I’m buying another pair because the combination of comfort and looks is unsurpassed, but I wish they held up a little better for the price.

Notified me when the shoe was available. Ordering was easy, delivery was realy fast. Overall good experience. Will order again.

These are like Danskos on steroids. They have a similar look, but with toe protection, snugger heel, Cush and supportive insole, and a wide stable heel base. Bridgedale X-hale speed demon exhale socks work great with these. There is no toe cramp, but great cushioning and breathability. The only complaint is that the nonslip sole collects rice and other debris while cleaning up the sushi line. Other than that they rock!

As we expect, Zappos service is near perfect. Ordered on Monday afternoon, shoes arrived Tuesday morning. Keen, as a shoe brand, is changing from much of what originally made it my favorite choice. Fortunately, the Utility PTC Slip-On ll is something of a throwback to a precious generation of Keen shoe, where the last reflects the shape of the human foot, or at least my foot. It was comfortable out of the box and did all the things my first two pairs of now discontinued models of Keens did. I am a working artist/potter who stands for much of the work day. Like my earlier Keens, these Utility Slip-Ons are excellent. Good support, tread pattern that doesn’t pick up a lot of clay, and presentable enough to wear when in the showroom. I will probably order another pair or two in case Keen management needs to further downgrade their previously excellent product. Best, Jacob Preston, owner: Preston Pottery, Bluffton, SC

Always wore Keens for play and stumbled across these on accident and knew I had to demote my Danskos. If you work in a kitchen…you need these!
JimmyBliss –
Wide toe box accommodates bunions. I am between a 9.5 and a 10.00. They lean to the wide size so I go with the 9.5 for this shoe.

A fellow Ob/gyn recommenced these shoes. I am on my feel all day and needed shoes that were comfortable and could be wiped down when contaminated by body fluids. These were perfect.
They are a little hard to put on because the opening is a bit tight. But once they are on they are extremely comfortable. Highly recommended.

Great comfort and roomy toe box. the leather is soft and they come with non-slip outsole which is crucial for me cause I work in the operating room and wet floors are a norm at my work. Docked one star for insole- comfortable but minimal arch support and they started deteriorating on day 1. I was planning to put orthotics in them anyways so it doesn’t bother me at all, but it may matter to others cause it’s an extra cost.
